The Biggest Loser' is really the Biggest Winner!
NBC's 'The Biggest Loser' is known for people dropping unbelievable amounts of weight, but this season the winner dropped a record setting 239 pounds!
Danny Cahill, the 40-year-old land surveyor and musician fought until the bitter end to lose his weight and win the $250,000 prize. Cahill said his family was his motivation to get healthy and lose the weight.
The Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, native went from 430 pounds to 191 pounds and lost over half of his body weight in six and a half months. He broke the record for the most weight lost by any contestant previously on the show.
The dramatic season eight finale had 13.4 million viewers and was the highest watched finale of the show in four years.
Cahill beat out Erik Chopin the 2006 winner who had the previous record of the most weight dropped at 216 pounds. Chopin went from 407 pounds to 193 pounds.
