Chris Brown Takes Shots At Rihanna on "Famous Girl"
While Chris Brown has been considerably more close-mouthed about his assault on Rihanna than she has, some think that he's letting some thoughts out on his newest album, Graffiti. In particular, the track "Famous Girl" suggests that the wrong-doing may have not all been on his part.
Take a look at some of the lyrics: "Since I thought I found my woman/ There were other guys who thought the same thing about it/ Like damn, you let me down, down, down/ 'Cause you're famous, girl, for breaking hearts."
When asked who he's referring to in the song, Brown refused to specify. "'Famous Girl' is what it is," he told MTV News on Tuesday. "I think what 'Famous Girl' does is just explain how I felt and how I feel about certain situations. So if you want to know what it is, listen to it."
And he really doesn't stop there. On the track, he takes a stab at the rumor of Rihanna hooking up with rapper Drake last spring, which Drake had denied immediately.
"While we're on Drake/ Say that you're the best he's ever had," Brown sings.
These are fine and dandy. He's allowed to get some things off his chest, but then he just dips into tasteless with references to when he allegedly broke a window during an argument with Rihanna. And, get this, he even jokes with Keri Hilson's "Knock You Down," singing, "Keri would've said my love knocks her down."
Great way to win 'em back, Chris. My guess is that this track was made shortly after Rihanna went public, obviously disagreeing with Brown's push to keep the details private.
