Oscar Winning Actress Guest Stars on Arrested Development

Oscar Winning actress Charlize Theron will guest star on FOX's critically acclaimed Arrested Development. Theron will play Rita, the British girlfriend of Jason Bateman's character, Michael Bluth, for five episodes.

Theron won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as a serial killer in Monster. She just finished filming Aeon Flux which is a live action film based on the futuristic MTV animated series.

Arrested Development is about a dysfunctional family whose patriarch is sent to prison for shoddy accounting practices. The sensible son, Michael Bluth, takes over the family's real estate business and teaches the family how to survive with less money. The Emmy award winning show premiered in 2003.

Theron begins filming her stint on Arrested Development this week. The season premieres on Monday, September 19 at 8PM. Theron's episodes begin airing on September 26.
