Kanye West sues Chicago DJ
West sues DJ over unreleased recordings.
Rapper Kanye West is suing a DJ in Chicago for 10 unreleased recordings he created when he was 18. Grammy winner West claims that Eric "E-Smooth" Miller who helped the rapper record the unreleased tracks tried to distribute them earlier this year. Miller owns Focus Music Group and was a driving force in the inception of house music. According to the lawsuit, Miller also forged West's signature on a fake contract that said he had the rights to distribute the material. West is seeking $1.3 million and wants Miller to stop associating himself with West and the recordings.
