Letterman's Painter Gets 10 Years in Prison
Painter was sent to jail for overcharging David Letterman.
The painter that David Letterman hired to paint his Montana ranch was sent to prison for 10 years for overcharging the late night talk show host. The painter, Kelly Frank, is the same person that was accused of plotting to kidnap Letterman's son. In July, Frank came to an agreement with prosecutors, pleading guilty to felony theft, a misdemeanor charge for lying to investigators about the kidnapping, and possessing illegally killed wildlife. Since he pleaded guilty to the various charges, the solicitation to kidnap charge was dropped.
The 43-year-old painter was arrested in March for the attempted kidnapping of Letterman's son and nanny after an acquaintance reported the plan to authorities.
