Slater's Groping Case Dropped

A Manhattan judge dropped the charges that could have sent actor Christian Slater to jail for a year for grabbing a woman's behind. In May, a fifty-two year old woman claimed that Slater grabbed her butt outside a bodega in Manhattan's Upper East Side after getting into a fight with his girlfriend. In July, prosecutors tried to get Slater to lessen the charge by pleading guilty to second degree harassment instead of third degree sexual abuse. If Slater did as the prosecutors wanted, he would have had to do three days of community service. Slater refused to agree to the plea because he did nothing wrong.
