The People's Champ Claims Number One Spot

Paul Wall takes the number one spot on the Billboard chart away from Kanye West.

Houston rapper Paul Wall tops this week's Billboard chart with his album The People's Champ, knocking the previous two weeks' winner Kanye West to number two. Seven of the top ten albums made their debut this week on the chart. Switchfoot's Nothing is Sound came in at number three followed by Trisha Yearwood's latest, Jasper County. The Pussycat Dolls took the number five spot with their first album PCD. Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney's Chaos and Creation in the Backyard reached number six while newcomer Damian Marley's Welcome to Jamrock came in at number seven. The Black Eyed Peas and Mariah Carey were able to keep themselves in the top ten by ranking at number eight and nine. Charlie Wilson closed out the top ten with his album Charlie, Last Name Wilson.
