Don Adams A.K.A. "Maxwell Smart" has died.

Number 86 will not be forgotten.

Don Adams, most famous for creating the role of bumbling spy Maxwell Smart, "Agent 86" in the classic comedy series "Get Smart", a 1960's spoof of James Bond, died late Sunday night at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center from a lung infection. He was 82.

Bruce Tufeld, a friend and former agent of Adams said on Monday, that Adams had broken his hip a year ago and had been in ill health since.

Don Adams's memorable and fitting catch phrases for Maxwell Smart were "Would you believe...?" and "Sorry about that, chief".
