Lane Fractures Finger Before Odd Couple Debut
Actor Nathan Lane fractured his finger just before his play The Odd Couple will debut. Lane received fourteen stitches after he slammed his finger in the door. The 49-year-old actor will remove his bandage and splint before his performances.
Lane's The Producer's co-star Matthew Broderick also joins him in The Odd Couple, which is the first revival in 40 years. Lane plays Oscar Madison while Broderick takes on the role of Felix Unger. Everybody Love Raymond's Brad Garrett also has a role in the Broadway show, playing Murray. The show officially opens at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre in New York on October 27. Even though the show hasn't opened yet, tickets for their performances are already sold out. The play has the highest advanced ticket sales in history, selling $21.5 million.
