It's a Girl for Ledger and Williams

Actors Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams welcomed a baby girl on Friday.

Dawson's Creek actress, 25-year-old Michelle Williams gave birth to a baby girl in Brooklyn on Friday. Williams and her fiance 26-year-old Australian actor Heath Ledger named the baby Matilda Rose. This is the first child for both. Matilda will call Brooklyn, New York home where the actors recently bought a $2.6 million residence.

Williams and the A Knight's Tale actor met last year on the set of the film Brokeback Mountain. According to Australian newspapers, the new family plans on visiting Ledger's home country of Australia after they finish promoting the film.

Brokeback Mountain, a film starring Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal about cowboys who form a lasting relationship, is set to be released December 9. Ledger and Williams play a married couple in the film.
