Carey Wins One of Four at the AMAs

Destiny's Child, McGraw, Clarkson, and Black Eyed Peas were the big winners at the 33rd Annual American Music Awards.

The 33rd Annual American Music Awards took place last night in Los Angeles with many of the night's winners not present. Favorite Artist Adult Contemporary and T-Mobile Text In Award winner Kelly Clarkson, Favorite Male Hip Hop artist Eminem, Favorite Pop/Rock and Rap/Hip Hop Group Black Eyed Peas, Favorite Pop/Rock album winner Green Day, and Favorite Rap/Hip Hop Album winner 50 Cent were not there to pick up their awards. After having the most nominations with four, Mariah Carey was only able to nab one award, Favorite Female Artist for Soul/R&B. Destiny's Child took home two awards in the Soul/R&B category, Favorite Album and Favorite Group. Tim McGraw was the big winner in the Country category, winning Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Album.
