DMX will Party Up in Jail
Rapper and actor DMX was sentenced to one week in prison for driving with a suspended license. The rapper, whose real name is Earl Simmons, pleaded guilty to the charge resulting from an incident that occurred last spring in the Bronx, NYC, where the Exit Wounds' star smashed his SUV into a car that then hit a police car. He was fined $500 and will add this new jail time to his existing sentence, a 70-day stint in prison from a similar charge.
In 2004, DMX ran his SUV into a security gate at JFK Airport for which he received a 60-day sentence. He was under the influence of Valium when the incident happened and pretended to be a federal agent. Ten more days were added on to his sentence when he showed up late for court in October for his sentencing.
