Adoption is Not Gonna Be Easy for Pitt

It is going to take a while for Pitt to legally become the father to Jolie’s children.
Brad Pitt may have a little trouble becoming Maddox and Zahara Jolie’s father. Pitt filed the paperwork on Friday to legally become the father of Angelie Jolie’s adopted children and change their last names to Pitt. The Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-stars are not married so the process involves a lot more paperwork. If the couple were married, Pitt could apply for the stepparent adoption, which is cheaper and much easier than the second parent adoption. Not that the Troy actor has any problem with money, but becoming a second parent in Los Angeles County costs $2,175 more. Pitt is also going to have to get letters of recommendation and receive home visits to review his parenting skills.
