Van Halen Divorce Filed
Valerie Bertinelli has filed for divorce from rocker Eddie Van Halen.
After four years of separation, actress Valerie Bertinelli decided that she wanted to make the split official. The One Day at a Time actress filed for divorce from guitarist Eddie Van Halen on Tuesday citing irreconcilable differences. Bertinelli's spokesperson confirmed the divorce filing and said that the separation is amicable.
The couple had been married for 24 years. The two met backstage at a Van Halen concert in 1980. They tied the knot a year later. Their marriage was troubled from the start. The couple has a 14-year-old son, Wolfgang Van Halen, who has been living with Bertinelli since the split. The couple has also already split their assets.
