Richie and DJ AM Split

Nicole Richie and fiancé Adam Goldstein have decided to end their engagement. The couple decided to call it quits a few days ago. Richie's rep confirmed to the U.S. Weekly saying, "They have decided to break off the engagement. The decision is mutual." The pair had been together for two years. Goldstein proposed to Richie on her 23rd birthday, and the two announced their engagement in February. They had planned to get married next year.

Richie will be acting as a wife on the next edition of The Simple Life, which will air on E! Entertainment Television. The new season Till Death Do Us Part, will have both the newly un-engaged former friends, Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton, playing wives in the families.
