Spears Sues Us Weekly
Britney headed to court over sex tape allegations
Pop star Britney Spears filed a $20 million lawsuit against Us Weekly Monday, claiming the magazine libeled her in its October 17 issue. In its Hot Stuff section, the magazine claimed she and husband Kevin Federline were concerned a member of their entourage would leak a sex tape staring the famous twosome.
The article entitled "Brit & Kev: Secret Sex Tape? New parents have a new worry: racy footage from 2004," also stated Federline and Spears were acting goofy while watching the video with their estate planning lawyers. According to the Associated Press, Spears says no such tape exists, and decided to take her case to court after the magazine refused to retract the story.
