Seacrest In with E!
American Idol host Ryan Seacrest will soon become the new face of E! Entertainment Television. He, along with his production company, Ryan Seacrest Productions, signed a $21 million deal with the network to executive produce and co-host the "Live from the Red Carpet" shows as well as host and produce celebrity interview specials. His duties will on the red carpet of the Golden Globes January 16. Starting in March, he will also be managing editor and lead anchor for "E! News."
The new deal will not affect any of Seacrest's many other jobs. The 31-year-old host will once again be seen on primetime television starting January 17 when season five of "American Idol" premieres on FOX. He will continue to host American Top 40 and his morning radio show "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" on KIIS-FM in Los Angeles. He will also be a fill-in host on CNN's "Larry King Live," and is being prepped to take over for Dick Clark on his New Year's Eve special.
