Scheduled to go just before the May release of the Tom Hanks (“Apollo 13”) film, Dan Brown’s publisher has announced that the best-selling novel, “The DaVinci Code” will be rereleased in paperback March 28. The book, which has been selling well in hardback for the last three years since its release March 2003, will probably rise in sales with the paperback and film, directed by Ron Howard (“A Beautiful Mind”). While the book has sold over 40 million copies, it has been attacked by the Roman Catholic Church, who have been offended by the conspiracy charges the book levels at it, as well as the mentioning that Jesus married Mary Magdalene and had children, whose descendants are still alive today. Other critics have tried unsuccessfully to sue author Dan Brown for plagiarism. The book has spent 144 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list, 54 of those weeks at the number one position.
