If You Got It, Flaunt It: Lane, Broderick on Walk of Fame
Matthew Broderick ("Ferris Bueller's Day Off") and Nathan Lane ("The Birdcage") are the two newest stars to grace Hollywood's Walk of Fame. The two were honored for their work in both Mel Brooks' "The Producers" and in Neil Simon's "The Odd Couple."
"Please remember to curb your dogs when you are walking in this area," joked Broderick, who attended the unveiling Monday with his wife, Sarah Jessica Parker and co-star Lane. "It's a joy to feel like part of a tradition in such a showbiz town," said Broderick.
Mel Brooks ("Blazing Saddles," "Spaceballs") who created the original Producers in 1968, adapted it to Broadway in 2001 and directed the current film, said, "these men both publicly and privately have done so much for me. Without Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick I would be living in a little motel just around the corner here, trying to make ends meet."
