Sony to Launch Gay Label

Sony Music announced on Tuesday that they will launch Music With a Twist, a record label dedicated to gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and trans-sexual artists. Sony is creating the label in conjunction with Wilderness Media & Entertainment. Wilderness Media & Entertainment is the company that started the all gay cable channel, LOGO, and is also set to launch a radio show, Twist Radio, geared to the community. Music with a Twist will sign gay artists that have a broad gay appeal. Some of the label's artists will be taken from Sony's other labels including Colombia Records Group, Sony Urban Music, Epic Records, and Sony Nashville. Music with a Twist will also release compilation albums, one of which is expected to be released in June in honor of Gay Pride Month.
