Despite James Frey’s powerful vehemence to the contrary, it seems as though his drug-addled memoir “A Million Little Pieces” seems to have a million little holes.
Despite James Frey’s powerful vehemence to the contrary, it seems as though his drug-addled memoir “A Million Little Pieces” seems to have a million little holes. “I don't give a f**k what they think of me,” said Frey two months before the book’s publishing. Investigative website The Smoking Gun, however, seemed to care a great deal, as they drilled into Frey’s “raw” literary goldmine: apparently the death of Frey’s “only school friend” Michelle after meeting Frey at a movie theatre was fiction, as the two not only were casual acquaintances, but that they had no contact the night of her death; second, Frey’s alleged FBI investigation for drugs turned out to be a local police matter; and, finally, Frey’s exhilarated claim of being arrested in Ohio for beginning a riot and “felony mayhem” turned out to be a simple DUI, where Frey, unlike his fictitious alter-ego, went quietly with only a $733 ticket; indeed, Ohio has no “felony mayhem” crime at all.
