Charlize Theron to Produce, Star in "The Ice at the Bottom of the World"

SAG Award and Golden Globe nominee Charlize Theron ("Monster," "North Country") will star in and produce "The Ice at the Bottom of the World," a film based on a short story by Mark Richard. The story is set in Chesapeake Bay, where a Navy captain is reluctantly retired due to medical concerns. The man's return after years of running away from his family throws the entire group into chaos. Theron will play one of his daughters, who is a heroin addict and the mother of a mixed-race child.
