Kylie Minogue Faces Daily Radiation Therapy
13-Jan-2006
Written by: David Pepose
Pop singer Minogue is battling breast cancer at home in Melbourne, while continuing her tour.
Pop singer Kylie Minogue is continuing to receive radiation treatment for her breast cancer diagnosis, although there has been no reoccurrence of the disease. The singer, who received treatment in Paris after undergoing a partial mastectomy of her left breast in Melbourne, Australia in May, is now returning to Australia with her family. Although no cancer cells were detected, Minogue will have to undergo six more months of therapy to be declared officially in remission. "Kylie remains keen to return to work and, in particular, to reschedule the Showgirl Tour of Australia," said Minogue's publicist. "Fortunately, we are still able to say we have received no news of a reoccurrence of the cancer; however at this point in time, Kylie's treatments are continuing."
