No More "Nas"-tiness as Rapper Joins Jay-Z
Longtime rap rivals Nas and Jay-Z have finally buried the hatchet, as Nas has joined the ranks of Def Jam Records, Jay-Z's music label. As a part of this deal, Sony Records has agreed to split any profit or loss in Nas' next two albums, and will pay Nas $3 million for each. The two rappers shocked fans when, during Jay-Z's "I Declare War" concert, Nas was revealed, as the two ended their feud by performing together. Some believe that this decision was due to recognition that infantile bickering had lost its place: "[It] sells when you're young and you're believably in a situation where it can be dangerous," said Sacha Jenkins, editorial director of Mass Appeal. "It's just not believable from two grown men. I think they're making a unique and potentially wise business decision."
