Russell Joins "Spider-Man 3" As Sandman's Wife

Theresa Russell ("Wild Things") has joined forces with director Sam Raimi ("Evil Dead") to appear in May 2007's "Spider-Man 3." Russell will play the role of Mrs. Marko, the wife of the villain Flint Marko, also known as the Sandman, a deadly foe of the web-slinger. Apparently, the couple will also have a daughter. Shooting for the second sequel to the Spider-Man franchise began this month; the film is scheduled to open May 4, 2007.
