While many films have survived the first few months of production without major leads, this is the first time a franchise such as Bond has taken such a risk. Rumors of Rachel McAdams (“The Notebook”) and Thandie Newton (“Mission Impossible: II”) have abounded with no avail, while no speculations of the villain have arisen.
