A Rocker Divorce: Sambora and Locklear Split
Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora separate after 11 years of marriage.
According to Us Weekly, actress Heather Locklear filed for divorce from her husband of 11 years, Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora. The 44-year-old L'Oreal spokesperson cited irreconcilable differences for the dissolution of her marriage. A statement form Locklear's publicist said, "After 11 years of marriage Heather Locklear has filed for divorce from Richie Sambora. This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time." Locklear is seeking custody of their 8-year-old daughter, Ava Elizabeth.
Locklear wed the 46-year-old musician in December 1994. This was Sambora's first marriage and Locklear's second. Locklear was married to rocker Tommy Lee from 1986-1993.
