Rent star Jesse L. Martin, of "Law & Order" fame, has signed up for a film of Marvin Gaye's last years, says the Hollywood Reporter. The film, which will be called "Sexual Healing," is hot on the heels of box office blockbuster biopics, such as "Ray" and "Walk the Line." The independent film will be shot on location in Hungary and Germany, as Gaye moved to Europe in his battle against drugs and to eventually meet a music producer who helped him record "Midnight Love," the pivotal Gaye album featuring the now-immortalized hit "Sexual Healing." Gaye eventually moved back with his parents after he was smothered by drug addiction and depression. His father, Marvin Gaye Sr., shot and killed his son just before his 45th birthday.
