Jackson to Be SingingˆFor Pope?

This is the type of unholy union that has to be seen in order to be believed: Michael Jackson, who not only runs but is the veritable gamut of weird news, is kicking it up a notch by singing on a CD of Pope John Paul II's prayers.

This is the type of unholy union that has to be seen in order to be believed: Michael Jackson, who not only runs but is the veritable gamut of weird news, is kicking it up a notch by singing on a CD of Pope John Paul II's prayers. "It is only a hope, an idea," said Reverand Giuseppe Moscati, the head of the religious record label Edizioni Musicali Terzo Millennio. Jackson representative Raymone K. Bain said that "about a year ago, [Jackson] was contacted by the Vatican to work on some music. Because he was in trial at the time, he was not able to focus on it." The trial, needless to say, was over child molestation charges, the second in Jackson's illustrious career of tabloid headlines. Does this deal just sound plain weird, or is there something more sinister on the horizon: can we say "Sign of the Apocalypse," anyone?
