La. Native Spears To Go Wild in New Orleans
Singer Britney Spears will make a relatively rare public appearance in New Orleans for Mardi Gras.

Britney Spears hasn't called Kentwood, La. home for several years, but the singer says she plans to return home later this month to draw crowds to New Orleans for Mardi Gras.
The still-devastated city still plans to go ahead with the celebration, its biggest tourist draw, from February 18 to 28.
"Good Morning America" will broadcast live from the last day of the Mardi Gras celebration, otherwise known as Fat Tuesday, when Spears will bring a few "surprises" to young residents of the city.
Spears, whose last tabloid appearance saw her driving with five-month-old son on her lap, said Mardi Gras was "so important" for the "amazing" city of New Orleans.
