Hollywood Love and Wars
Wedding bells rang as Lisa Marie Presley and guitarist and music producer Michael Lockwood tied the knot in Kyoto, Japan. With a few marriages under her belt, my best wishes go out to Presley who definitely deserves a marriage that ends with a happily ever after.
But when life has got you down, simply Google one of Presley's ex-hubby's, Michael Jackson, and you will discover that things could always be worse. As most of you know, Jackson is more familiar with the California court system than most defense attorneys are and once again, he has been hit with another verdict that is not in the pop star's favor.
A Cali appeals court has sided with Debbie Rowe, Jackson's ex-wife and mother of his 2 children, Michael Jr. and Paris in a custody battle dispute. In 2001, Rowe signed away her parental rights; however, when Jackson faced charges of molestation in 2004, she appealed. Recently, a Judge took her side, stating that when she signed away her rights, the prior judge failed to initiate an independent investigation into what would be best for the children, thus, did not handle the proceedings properly.
Jackson's third child, Prince Michael, was out of the loop because he came from a mystery woman other than Ms. Debbie Rowe. Hold up, let me get this straight - Michael has two kids named Michael? OK, moving on....
After Coldplay's lead singer, Chris Martin told fans at the British Awards, "You won't be seeing us at one of these for many, many years," everyone jumped the gun, assuming that the band was breaking up. Not the case at all says a Coldplay spokesperson.
As for all the people still on Britney Spears' case over the "driving incident" in Malibu, she should tell them to kiss her ass! Instead; however, Spears told People magazine that she rarely takes her child outside because she fears the paparazzi, which is why she claims to have driven off with her baby still seated on her lap.
"I mean, Princess Diana got killed by one of these people. They're crossing the line," said Spears.
Crossing the line is the name of the game in "The Break Up," starring Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn. After Brooke (played by Aniston) dumps Gary (played by Vaughn), they engage in a mental warfare over who will move out of their shared condo. Coming soon to theatres near you -- when it comes to Aniston and Vaughn, all is fair in love and war.
And that's all she wrote.
