Brokeback Mountain Scores Four at BAFTA Awards

Brokeback Mountain was the big winner at the British film awards.

The British Film Academy awarded high honors to "Brokeback Mountain" at Sunday's ceremony. The love story about two gay cowboys took home best film and best-adapted screenplay. Ang Lee was honored as best director and Jake Gyllenhaal as best supporting actor for his role in the film. Philip Seymour Hoffman was given the award for best actor for his role in "Capote," while Reese Witherspoon's portrayal of June Carter won her best actress. "Crash" won two awards, one for best original screenplay and one for the best supporting actress Thandie Newton. The awards for cinematography, costume design, and music all went to "Memoirs of a Geisha." Outstanding British Film of the Year went to "Wallace & Grommit in the Curse of the Were-Rabbit."
