Kid Rock to Block Sex Tape Distribution
Kid Rock is hoping that no one gets to see his tape with Scott Stapp.
Rocker Kid Rock doesn't want the sex tape with Scott Stapp to spread. By Kid Rock's request, U.S. District Court Judge John Feikens issued a temporary restraining order on World Wide Red Light District from promoting, distributing or selling the tape. The company is not allowed to use Rock's image to promote it either. Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, is also hoping to get a permanent injunction on the tape. The 35-year-old singer says that the tape violates his privacy and trademark image.
The tape was filmed back in 1999 after the Scott Stapp and Kid Rock performed at the Orange Bowl in Miami. The tape features Rock and Stapp having sex with strippers on a tour bus. Rock's lawyer claims that the tape was stolen from Stapp.
