New Edition Reunites for One Night
New Edition will perform at the Essence Music Festival in Houston.
Bobby Brown will be performing with his former New Edition bandmates once again. The 1980's boyband will reunite for a performance at the Essence Music Festival. The festival will take place in Houston this year from July 1-3. There is no word on whether the band will perform together anywhere else.
New Edition made young girls in the 80s scream with songs like "Cool It Now." Brown left the group to pursue a solo career.
Other artists scheduled to perform at the Essence Music Festival include Earth, Wind, and Fire, Mary J. Blige, and LLCoolJ. The annual event usually takes place at the Superdome in New Orleans, but had to be moved due to Katrina's damage on the arena.
