Whitney Houston and Britney Spears.

Bobby Brown’s sister, Tina Brown ratted out Whitney Houston to the National Enquirer, which hits stands this Friday. Not only did she openly discuss Houston’s on-going drug abuse, she turned in pictures.

According to Tina, “The truth needs to come out. Whitney won’t stay off the drugs. It’s every single day. It’s so ugly. Everyone is so scared she is going to overdose.”

Reportedly, Houston sits in her room for days on end (typical of addicts and alcoholics who are far into their disease) and smokes crack. Brown said she peaks out blinds and bites and beats herself, later claiming that the “devil did it.”

“She’ll point to the floor and say, ‘See the demon. I’m telling you somebody’s messing with Bobby.’ She always thinks it’s something to do with Bobby. But it’s her, hitting herself,” claims Brown.

Although Tina Brown states she hopes tattling on Houston will save her, this does not seem like the best course of action, if you ask me. However, my prayers go out to Houston in hopes that she will one day put the pipe down and come clean.

Addiction is a horrible, life-altering disease but with help, it is possible to get better. For many years, Robert Downey Jr. battled his drug addiction, trying to stop numerous times. As he mentioned in this month’s edition of Vogue, Downey would drive around town naked, throwing imaginary rats out of his car window. However, the rats have dissipated with the drug use and Downey is definitely someone to admire for never giving up on himself, no matter what. He is an inspiration and hopefully, Houston will follow his example. Along with every other addict/alcoholic still suffering, she deserves it!

Do we really deserve the privilege of seeing a life-size statute of Britney Spears giving birth on all fours? I think not. Calling his Spears display, “Monument to Pro-Life: The Birth of Sean Preston,” New York artist Daniel Edwards will show his display in April at Brooklyn’s Cala Kesting Fine Art. “It’s really a sincere tribute to giving birth,” said Edwards. “That’s really what it is.” No, Spears did not pose for the sculpture. Edwards relied on pictures as well as an image of a Spears wax dummy at Madame Tussaud’s in Las Vegas. According to Edwards, people don’t like seeing themselves in 3-D. “I wouldn’t expect Britney to be any happier than any of my subjects in the past,” he said. I just don’t get it – nothing can be considered “art” if the subject is not a willing participant and the display may cause them embarrassment. Until tomorrow, that’s a Hollynews wrap.
