Beckinsale New Wonder Woman Favorite
Joss Whedon, famed producer of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, now has Kate Beckinsale in talks to play the title role in his upcoming feature film Wonder Woman. Those close to Whedon assert that he is "very happy" with the English beauty. The movie adaptation of the admired comic book series is reportedly beginning filming in early September. Those who have also been linked to the role include Buffy stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and Charisma Carpenter, and teen queen Lindsay Lohan. The original role was played on TV by Lynda Carter.
Carpenter, a former favorite for the role, even remarked that she wanted to win the role so intensely that she put off having a child. She recently told a reporter, "I'd like to (have another baby) eventually, but I want Wonder Woman right now. I'm not holding my breath, but I'm crossing my fingers and toes and praying."
