No “Stupid Girls“ At Kids’ Choice Awards
10-Apr-2006
Written by: Ellen Wernecke

Event organizers kept a backstage feud from catching fire in the audience -- just barely!

Don't mess with a "Mean Girl."

Lindsay Lohan's entourage prevented singer Pink from singing her satiric hit "Stupid Girls" directly to the 20-year-old starlet at the Nickolodeon Kids' Choice Awards, the New York Daily News reported.

Pink's new album "I'm Not Dead" addresses cultural figures like Paris Hilton and the President, with biting lyrics like "What happened to the dreams of a girl president?/ She's dancing in the video next to 50 Cent."

But for La Lohan, the lyrics about "stupid girls" shopping at Fred Segal, dieting to excess and carrying around very small dogs might have just hit a little too close to home. So her crew arranged with Nickolodeon staff to have Pink perform from onstage so she couldn't approach Lindsay's chair.

That diva attitude was not lost on Hillary Duff, who had a rumored feud with Lohan after she stole Duff's boyfriend. Witnesses say Duff and sister Haylie were rolling their eyes when Lohan got up to accept her award for her performance in "Herbie: Fully Loaded."

Sometimes, mean girls do prosper.
