Mariah Carey signs with Pepsi
Pop singing superstar Mariah Carey has recently signed a profitable deal with soft drink giant Pepsi. The deal will have Carey produce 20 ring tones and star in a series of commercials in promotion for the product.
The diva is apparently thrilled with the offer and is planning on kicking off her summer tour with a Pepsi Smash performance in Los Angeles. This is the first full length tour for Carey in three years.
Carey released a statement saying, "I had a lot of fun with this project. It was a great creative outlet because musically I could do things here that I would never think to do for one of my albums. This was a great idea by Pepsi, and I'm happy to be a part of it."
Carey is joining a string of celebrities that have already had deals with Pepsi including Beyonce Knowles, Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, and Kanye West.
