Lost's Ana Lucia Chooses Jail Over Service
She's the take-no-crap castaway protecting her fellow refugees from the tail of Oceanic Air Flight 815 on "Lost."
And when it came time to resolve a DUI arrest from last fall, Michelle Rodriguez made a rare choice for a celebrity: She chose five days in jail and a $500 fine over 240 hours of community service.
Rodriguez and fellow "Lost" cast member Cynthia Watros were driving on Oahu near the "Lost" set last December when they were both pulled over. Watros pleaded guilty and will attend alcohol-abuse counseling, but Rodriguez, who had also violated her probation stemming from a California arrest in 2003, could only take her guilty plea so far.
Isn't her agent concerned about Rodriguez getting hurt in prison, even if "Lost" is currently on hiatus? A prison-related injury might force Rodriguez's character, who hasn't exactly been a fan favorite, to be written off the show. Then again, Rodriguez trained to box for the 2001 movie "Girlfight" -- so perhaps she can take care of herself.
