Philbin to Host Talent Show

Regis Philbin will host NBC's summer talent show, "America's Got Talent."

Regis Philbin is going to be on TV during Primetime once again this summer. This time the 74-year-old "Live with Regis and Kelly" host will be hosting NBC's new talent show entitled "America's Got Talent." The twice-weekly show will be produced by "American Idol's" Simon Cowell and FreeMandtleMedia. The new primetime competition, which has similarities to "Star Search," will feature performances by singers, dancers, and comedians among other acts. Contestants will compete on Wednesday nights followed by the results show on Thursday. "America's Got Talent" will have its two hour premiere on June 21.
Philbin will continue to work on his ABC morning show with Kelly Ripa while he hosts on "America's Got Talent."
