Nicolette Sheridan surprises with singing talent
Michael Bolton duets on his new album with the unlikeliest of singing partners
Even to Michael Bolton's surprise, "Desperate Housewives" actress Nicolette Sheridan made a guest spot on his recently-released Frank Sinatra tribute album, "Bolton Swings Sinatra."
Sheridan and Bolton recorded a cover of "The Second Time Around," which was easier said than done. Bolton said in an AP interview that Sheridan's vocals were "breathy" and difficult to complement.
However, Bolton said that he was surprised by Sheridan's ability to overcome her inhibitions about singing.
"I didn't think she was going to have the courage to step up to the microphone and record, and she did," Bolton said. "It was terrifying for her because she's been self-conscious about singing all her life, but she has a beautiful voice."
After dating for several years in the 1990's, Sheridan and Bolton rekindled their romance by announcing their engagement in March.
