Western fans will want to check out this edition of the DVD dribble.

It's country western time for this edition of the DVD Dribble. Just about every DVD has a country western theme. If you're a fan of the genre, you'll want to check out the following DVDs.

"Real Cowboy Movies" is riding its way into stores this month. When you think of cowboy movies, you think of John Wayne. Fans of John Wayne will love this 2-disc DVD. It includes 12 John Wayne movies and a video iPod ready disc so you can carry the movies around on your iPod. Western fans are in luck because "Cheyenne - First season" is up next. Despite being an old television show, there are a lot of special features available. The 1955 country western television series DVD includes fifteen episodes from the show's first season, an interview with Clint Walker, "The Lonely Gunfighter: The Legacy of Cheyenne" featurette, and Spanish and French subtitles.

"F Troop- The Complete First season" is another western on the list, but this one is more of a comedy. The six-disc DVD set includes 34 episodes of the series' first season as well as Spanish and French subtitles. The series follows Lieutenant Wilton Parmenter as he accidentally becomes a war hero and the trouble that ensues. Tommy Lee Jones and Cate Blanchett take their turn riding horses in "The Missing (Extended Cut)" DVD. Jones plays Blanchett's estranged father who wants to come back into her life. The DVD includes an added 17 minutes of the film, a new commentary by director Ron Howard, six featurette, three short films, and English and French audio tracks and subtitles.

Louis L'Amour's western novel, "The Sacketts," was adapted for television and is now on DVD. It follows three brothers as they head out west from their home in Tennessee. Unlike the other western DVDs, this one has no special features. "Rough Riders" is another DVD without any special features. The 1997 film stars Tom Berenger, Sam Elliot, and Gary Busey. Berenger plays Theodore Roosevelt as he tries to help the Cubans become free from Spanish rule.

Not only were just about every one of the DVDs in this edition a western, but most contained special features. So "giddy up" to the store and pick up these DVDs if you're a fan of westerns.
