Arrest warrent issued for rapper DMX
An arrest warrant has been issued for rapper DMX, real name Earl Simmons, because of his failure to appear in court.
The rapper had already been granted two postponements on a number of bad-driving charges, but he didn't show again on Wednesday, causing Judge Barbara Leak to say the the courtesies "[end] now."
His lawyer said DMX flew to Arizona for the court appearance, but he was ill, and promised he would appear Thursday.
DMX faces charges from a June 2 trip where he was speeding and making unsafe lane changes while driving without a driver's license and without his seat belt buckled. Nine days later, he was ticketed for driving on the shoulder of a parkway. Then, on June 16, he was cited for carrying a concealed handgun. Now that's what I call a month.
