Lil’ Kim celebrates early release

After being released early from her prison sentence, the rap diva returns to her home in New Jersey.
After 10 months behind bars, Lil' Kim was released early from her prison sentence Monday and celebrated her return home with family and friends.
Her prison sentence began Sept. 19 after she was convicted for lying about a gang shoot-out outside a Manhattan radio station. The sentence included a note about an early release for good behavior.
"Today is a joyous day for me and my family," she said in a statement. "I am extremely grateful and happy to be home.
"Many special thanks go out to my fans who were critical in helping me get through these past 10 months. I am looking forward to adjusting back to my normal life and getting back to work."
The rapper's homecoming party featured a catered meal, as well as a red velvet cake sent by P. Diddy's Manhattan restaurant Justin's.
In response to her widely-noticed weight gain, the Queen Bee responded, "I'll be eating some french fries. I don't need to, but..."
