Lavigne and Whibley- Wedding Soon?
Rumor has it Avril Lavigne and her finace, Deryck Whibley of Sum 41, have moved up their wedding date
According to several news reports, singer Avril Lavigne and her fiance Deryck Whibley have moved up their wedding date allegedly due to their worries about the media scrutiny over their August wedding in California.
Reports also say friends and family of the couple were notified days ago and were told to book tickets immediately for Santa Barbara, where the lovebirds share a house together.
Rumor has it that the bride's bridal shower took place June 30. Lavigne is said to have received a thong, some handcuffs and a sexy red bra, according to the Insider Web site.
According to the Canadian Press, Lavigne's publicist, Sean Cordner, has not confirmed the report.
"I cannot comment on the personal lives of our artists," Cordner said.
The rocker couple has been together since early 2004. Lavigne first had her taste of stardom at 17 with her song "Complicated." Recently, she has been working as an actress. In the animated movie 'Over the Hedge,' Lavigne is the voice of Heather the possum and in the upcoming 'Fast Food Nation,' she has been cast as a teenage animal activist. Whibley's band, Sum 41, released 'Go Chuck Yourself, in Canada in March.
