Sean Lennon to release second album
It's been eight years since his solo debut and now Sean Lennon is ready to release his second album. Lennon's new album "Friendly Fire" is due in stores Sept. 26, according to the Associated Press.
"There was a long period after the first album where I felt disillusioned with the machinery of the industry," Lennon said. "It's not that I stopped recording, playing, performing, I did all those things, just more discreetly. 'Friendly Fire' is an experiment to see what it might be like to do music more publicly again."
Lennon's first album "Into the Sun" was released in 1998.
The singer has also produced a short film for each track on the album. Lennon will be playing various characters in this film, which will be directed by Michele Civetta. Lindsay Lohan, Bijou Phillips, Asia Argento, Devon Aoki, Carrie Fisher and Jordana Brewster will be making appearances in Lennon's film.
No release date for the film has been set, but fans can view the trailer online.
