Mindy McCready wins case
Troubled country singer Mindy McCready was found not guilty of a DUI charge from 2005. However, she did not run away from all charges, as she was found guilty of driving with a suspended license.
After being pulled over last May for speeding, she at first denied she needed a sobriety test. The police said she had just come from a nightclub and looked like she had more than a few drinks.
The jury saw the evidence video of the test, however McCready's lawyer, Lee Dryer, said she was fine and that the test were improperly handled. She was actually the designated driver of the car that belongs to her friend who was too drunk to drive.
McCready was already on probation for drug charges, which she violated by going out of state. She will be on trial within the year for disobeying her probation officer on these charges.
As stated, hopefully this will be a turning point in McCready's life to change for the better.
