The Gilmore Girls are still together
The "Gilmore Girls" have had one shaky season since the exit of creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband Daniel. The new CW network was still working on which show to keep when the "Gilmore Girls" cast and crew were dealing with their own issues.
The Palladinos left the show after a fiscal disagreement with producers Warner Bros. The cast of the show, especially Lauren Graham who plays mother Lorelai and Alexis Bledel who plays daughter Rory, loved them. Both actresses stated they were thinking of leaving the show.
After this year's season finale failed to impress fans, new executive producer David S. Rosenthal is trying to pick up the pieces. In the finale Lorelai was supposed to marry long time friend Luke, however she let him leave when he chose a long lost daughter over her. It ended with Lorelai in bed with her ex-husband.
Although Graham was disappointed with the Palladinos leaving, she is willing to go on with the show. She believes if everything was perfect within the plot between the characters then there would be no show to go on with.
