Rolling Stones announce tour dates for second North American leg

The rock band "can't wait" to return to the U.S. following their dates in Europe.

With guitarist Keith Richards fully recovered from a head injury, the Rolling Stones announced dates Tuesday for the second North American leg of their "A Bigger Bang" tour including 17 stops in the U.S. and Canada.

The tour kicks off Sept. 20 in Boston and will stop at many of the Stones' favorite cities before finishing off Nov. 18 in Los Angeles. New York, Chicago, Seattle, Las Vegas and Austin are among the U.S. destinations. The band will also play for Canadian fans in Vancouver, Regina and Halifax.

"Once again we have a massive stage show for you," guitarist Ron Wood said.

The European leg was postponed for more than a month after Richards fell out of a tree while on vacation in New Zealand and suffered a head injury. The tour resumed this month in Milan.

"Keith's fine, his head's better, it's all there," said lead singer Mick Jagger in a video statement. "He's playing well, he's enjoying himself. I know he's looking forward to coming on this leg of the tour."

Richards added, "I'm feeling great and can't wait to get there."
