Tori Spelling's family feud continues
Tori Spelling has taken another setback due to her ongoing family feud. Spelling wanted to air a special tribute to her father, Aaron Spelling, who passed last month. She conducted interviews with many people who have worked with him. ABC was going to broadcast the memories of Aaron with Tori as host and executive producer.
She had wished to use footage from some of her dad's shows like, "The Love Boat," "Charlie's Angles," "Dynasty" and others. However, her mother Candy refused to let ABC air the tapes because Tori was associated with the tribute. The feud between the two has been going on before the death of her father, but became worse when he died. Tori stated to US Weekly she only knew of his death because of an e-mail she received. Her mother released a statement against her saying that "The Spelling Family," which consists of Tori's mother and her brother Randy, were upset and hurt by these statements.
"Regarding the proposed ABC special, Candy Spelling sincerely felt the timing was not right as the Emmy Awards telecast was also planning a special tribute to Aaron," family spokesman Kevin Sasaki stated. Although Candy has claimed it was a matter of timing, according to AP, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences is still working on their tribute and are not sure whether it will air.
Tori feels since her dad has passed she is more human, like the rest of us. "Suddenly we're on the same page, we're equals, and that's all I want to be," she said.
